Baby's skin is the most important fact to be taken care of #SoftestForBabySkin

When I was a kid, my parents were very poor and hardworking. They couldn't afford to give me the time I needed as a baby as they had to keep working to feed the family but still they took utmost care of my health and especially my skin due to which even now when I am a grandmother, my skin doesn't reflect my age and makes me look younger. This proves that it is necessary to take care of the skin from the time the kid is small as that's the period when the skin of a baby needs to be healthy and soft so that it glows and makes a baby look healthy and cheerful. With this, I would like to state few facts with an explanation in my own words as to what steps need to be taken with regards to the skin of the baby.

1. Bathing the baby: It is very necessary to wash your hands with Dettol or any sanitizer and cut your nails before bathing the baby. Also, the bath tub, towels, other toiletries and the area near the bath tub must be cleaned well. While bathing the baby, it is necessary to apply soap on each and every part of the body, especially the are behind the ears and sensitive areas so that the baby is absolutely clean and it feels fresh. After giving the baby proper bath, use a towel that is extremely soft on the skin and then wrap the baby in another dry towel while taking it out from the tub. This is necessary so that the skin is protected and it remains soft and tender.

2. Feeding the baby: While feeding the baby, make sure the area near the baby is absolutely clean and dry and since many babies throw a lot of food around, it is necessary to keep a cloth underneath the baby which is soft and after feeding the baby, clean the baby's mouth and body with a soft wet towel and then a dry one. If important, change the clothes of the baby as well so that the baby's skin doesn't have any remains of the food and it wears clean clothes as well.

3. Sleep hours: Make sure the bed where the baby sleeps is very soft and comfortable and also washable. The area around must be clean and hygienic and the blanket sued by the baby should be soft and smooth to make the baby get its complete sleep. If the baby wakes up in the night due to wetting the diaper, make sure to change the mattress and the blanket as well instead of only changing the diaper and clothes. This will make the baby sleep peacefully and the skin o the baby also will be protected from any rash and irritation which is caused due to wetness.

4. Taking the baby for a walk: Avoid taking the baby out for a walk during sunny hours and make sure you clean your hands before touching the baby and its clothes else it can cause an infection.

5. Soft Diapers: Babies should be kept as happy as possible and this can be done by not only interacting with the baby but by making it feel free of the wetness which is caused due to diapers that make the baby's skin red and it makes the baby get irritated soon. Pampers has introduced its softest diaper for babies that can keep them dry for hours and this helps the skin of the baby from any kind of irritation and redness.

A joy of life #SoftestForBabySkin

Being a mother and now a grand mother, I have an experience in dealing with different types of skin and now I am also able to recommend what kind of care and how to take proper care of a baby while its skin is tender and sensitive. I would recommend the following tips to protect the skin of the baby and make it remain soft and healthy. The tips are simple but very important in our day-to-day life:

1. Sleep hours: This is a very important factor for a baby as different babies have a different time of sleeping. While my baby used to sleep only during the day time, my grand kid sleeps during the night. The timing varies from one to another but we as parents should make sure that the baby gets 8-10 hours of complete sleep whether during the day or during the night. It is important for the skin of the baby as if the baby gets less sleep, it can make the skin as well feel the lack of hours of sleep which can be avoided and taken care of.

2. Diapers: It is necessary that the diapers the baby wears are soft for the skin and hence it is better to test a diaper for few hours on the baby and then use it as a regular diaper. Pampers has introduced the softest diaper for the baby's skin and it is made of a material that keeps the diaper dry for hours even after the diaper gets wet. This is the best thing for a baby as the skin remains dry and the baby remains joyful.

3. Limit scented products for the baby: It is often a practise to use scented baby products like a powder or shampoo whose fragrance is too loud but it should be avoided as the baby cannot bear such scented products often and it can harm the lungs of the baby as well at a very young age. It is better to use products with no fragrance so that the baby can remain calm and the skin as well is not affected by these scented products.

4. Food: It is necessary to give the baby more nutritionous food which can make it remain healthy and also make its skin more soft and plump. The best food for the baby's skin after mother's milk is Farex.

5. Soft clothing: It is necessary that the baby only wears soft clothing like cotton as the skin is very tender and sensitive and hence other materials may stick to the skin of the baby causing any irritation.
